Our platform provides free social games with virtual credits that hold no monetary value.

2. Information We Collect

BanffLake collects minimal information. We do not require account registration and do not collect names, email addresses, or payment details. The data we collect is limited to:

• Browser cookies and localStorage entries: We store a small cookie and localStorage record to remember your age confirmation and cookie preference. These contain no personally identifiable information — they are single-character flags ("1" for confirmed).
• Standard server logs: Our web server records standard HTTP access logs including IP address, user agent, requested URL, and response code. These logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and diagnostic purposes and are never sold or shared with third parties.
• Contact messages: If you contact us by email at [email protected], we retain your message and reply for up to 24 months for correspondence records.

We do not use third-party advertising networks, social media pixels, or cross-site tracking technologies on BanffLake. We do not sell, rent, or trade any user data.

3. How We Use Information

The limited information we collect is used exclusively to:

• Remember that you have confirmed your age so you do not need to re-confirm on every page visit (stored locally in your browser only)
• Remember your cookie preference setting (essential only vs. accepted) so the banner does not reappear unnecessarily
• Maintain server security logs to detect and respond to malicious traffic
• Respond to any contact messages you send us

We do not use your information for marketing, profiling, behavioural targeting, or any purpose other than those listed above.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

BanffLake places two functional data records in your browser: a session cookie and a localStorage entry. Both serve identical purposes and are alternatives to each other — we read whichever is accessible on your device. Neither contains personally identifiable information. Both expire after 180 days. 5. Google Consent Mode

BanffLake implements Google Consent Mode v2 in its default-denied configuration. No analytics data is transmitted to Google unless you explicitly accept cookies. If you accept, basic anonymous analytics may be collected by Google Analytics under the terms of Google's own privacy policy. You can withdraw consent at any time using the cookie settings button (gear icon) at the bottom right of the page.

6. Data Sharing and Third Parties

BanffLake does not share personal information with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

• Where required by applicable Canadian law (e.g., pursuant to a valid court order or statutory obligation)
• To our hosting provider for the purpose of serving the website (they process standard server logs on our behalf under a data processing agreement)
• To Google, only if you have accepted analytics cookies, under Google's standard terms of service

We do not share data with advertising networks, data brokers, social platforms, or any other third parties.

7. Data Retention

Server logs are retained for 30 days then deleted automatically. Browser cookies and localStorage entries expire after 180 days and are stored entirely in your own browser — we have no copy on our servers. Contact correspondence is retained for up to 24 months. 8. Children's Privacy

BanffLake is intended exclusively for individuals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect any information from persons under 18. The age gate on our platform is designed to screen out minors before they access the entertainment content. 9. Your Privacy Rights (PIPEDA)

As a Canadian-operated platform, BanffLake is subject to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

• Request access to any personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate personal information
• Withdraw consent to collection or use of your personal information
• Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

10. Security

BanffLake implements reasonable technical measures to protect server infrastructure and the data it processes. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Server logs are stored on access-controlled infrastructure. We do not store payment information — no payment facilities exist on this platform, as BanffLake is entirely free.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of BanffLake after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
